The Case Management Staff Coordinator is required to have a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, proof of vehicle insurance and access to a vehicle during work hours. Daytime and evening hours may be scheduled.

Position Opening: Case Management Staff Coordinator
Full-time, Exempt
Minimum $40,000/annual, Depending on Qualifications

Our ideal Case Management Staff Coordinator will utilize a trauma informed approach that fosters a safe and healthy space that holistically supports individualized client service needs and goals, including safety planning, emotional support, health and wellness, resource navigation, housing advocacy, community resource referrals and support groups in collaboration with other DAIS and community service providers. The Case Management Staff Coordinator maintains a partial client caseload and primarily works daytime hours though some evenings and weekends may be necessary depending on client and program needs.

Primary responsibilities

  • Provide supervision for Case Managers and foster a productive work environment
  • Collaborates with the Crisis and Case Management Services Manager to ensure accurate and consistent messaging essential to the operation and success of the Case Management Program
  • Ensures quality onboarding, effective on-the-job training, and professional development of program staff; utilizes approaches that will increase staff performance, retention and satisfaction.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and exit staff.

 

  • Oversees and engages in direct service and support
  • Provides direction and support to Case Managers on client and program related issues; engages Crisis and Case Management Services Manager as appropriate.
  • Provides comprehensive trauma-informed case management services to victims of domestic violence and their children utilizing DAIS services, including support, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, parenting support, information, and referrals.
  • Collaborates effectively with community partners to coordinate services for DAIS clients. Assists clients in accessing services through community partner agencies, helping to navigate through processes and systems.

 

  • Advance the work of the agency in a manner consistent with the organization’s values.
  • Adhere to agency policies and work rules
  • Advance knowledge and attending trainings as assigned.
  • Provide cross-departmental/functional support and services as needed
  • Promote an atmosphere of extraordinary customer services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred though relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of three years of experience supervising employees and volunteers, and mentoring and coaching for success is required.
  • Experience providing supervision to direct service human services staff preferred.
  • Experience working with a diverse group of staff, residents and volunteers preferred.
  • Experience in effectively supporting team development and addressing conflict.
  • Knowledge of community resources in Dane County preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals in crisis preferred.
  • Experience with both child and adult trauma survivors required, knowledge of domestic violence, mental health and AODA struggles preferred.
  • Excellent, organizational, written, and verbal communication, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) skills required.
  • Excellent problem solving, judgement, and time management skills required.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Bilingual and/or bicultural preferred
