Primary responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Policy & Systems Change, the Community Response Coordinator is responsible for leading strategy development, systems analysis, and training efforts for statewide multidisciplinary teams focused on improving their responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of oppression. The core work of the Community Response Coordinator is to identify patterns that create barriers to victim safety and equity within Wisconsin counties, and to partner with member programs and other community stakeholders in developing strategies that stimulate innovative and new approaches to domestic violence intervention and community safety. The Community Response Coordinator provides technical assistance and consultation to local domestic violence programs and community stakeholders on their involvement in Coordinated Community Response (CCR), other multidisciplinary teams, and general community engagement efforts. The Community Response Coordinator works to foster an environment of respect and understanding amongst professionals engaged in community response work, as well as promotes the idea that domestic violence is a community issue, calling for a community-wide response.
Systems Technical Assistance and Training
- Provide intensive in-person, e-mail, and telephone technical assistance to member programs, community stakeholders, and their associated multidisciplinary teams
- Lead and monitor short- and long-term equity-centered strategy development and implementation efforts
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to provide facilitation, training, and topical expertise invite dialogue about community response work
- Cultivate new and maintain existing partnerships with domestic violence programs and other community stakeholders by attending Regional Directors’ meetings, Regional Advocate Days of Training (RAD) events, and other End Abuse meetings or trainings
- Provide training and technical assistance to other systems and community stakeholders, as requested
CCR Training & Resource Development
- Identify needs and develop resources and educational opportunities for multidisciplinary teams related to community assessment, systems coordination, and strategies for enhancing collaboration around domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy and support
- Plan and provide opportunities for in-person and web-based learning for multidisciplinary team members
- Develop educational resources for multidisciplinary teams, as well as maintain and update current educational resources
- Maintain knowledge on new research and best practices
Grant Management
- Track and submit required technical assistance and training data
- Compile and submit grant reports to project funder(s)
Other Responsibilities
- Provide general technical assistance coverage for the Madison office
- Collaborate with the Policy and Systems Change team to facilitate opportunities for increased collaboration between systems, organizations, and statewide policy

This is Madison based exempt position. The salary range for this position starts at $47,500 a year based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, employee assistance program, and paid vacation, holidays and sick leave. Generous PTO, and a 401K program after three months of continuous employment.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience working in a domestic violence (DV) or DV/Sexual Assault program or social justice-related field.
- Experience and comfort with public speaking and training, including workshop/curriculum development.
- Experience and/or comfort with providing assistance over the phone, via email, or in-person to advocates, law enforcement, attorneys, healthcare providers, and other community stakeholders.
- Experience working with diverse populations and advocating for the needs of underserved or marginalized individuals.
- Strong communication skills, specifically around conflict management and goal alignment.
- An understanding of how systems affect survivors and how they can be improved or enhanced to meet the needs of survivors.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent projects.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of experience working with multidisciplinary teams on domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or related issues.
- Experience negotiating and facilitating diverse groups to achieve collaborative goals.
- Ability to learn and utilize additional forms of technology in addition to Microsoft Office programs.
Bonus:
- Proficiency in more than one language
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work performed in an office setting or at a training requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel across the state requires a valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance, which must be current and on file at all times.
- Ability to lift office supplies and materials on occasion for trainings less than 50 pounds.
- The person in this position must be able to exchange accurate information over the telephone and/or online via Skype or some other application.
