The QTI Group has been exclusively retained by Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs to recruit for their new Executive Director. The Executive Director of Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs will lead and support an incredibly devoted team who take a client-centered approach to protecting, helping, and healing victims of domestic abuse, with equal access to all in need. The Executive Director will bring an energetic enthusiasm to further the vision and mission. With their staff, they will continue to provide effective and compassionate shelter services and programs, innovating to meet the needs of a changing and more diverse population. As the face of Harbor House in the community, the Executive Director will work to expose and prevent domestic abuse through education and intervention. They will be the chief fundraiser, to increase financial support for the important work.
They will have successful experience developing new funding sources including grants, major and corporate gifts, events, and planned giving. They will work collaboratively with state and national agencies to stay ahead of the latest knowledge and best practices in eliminating domestic violence.
They will actively engage the board to develop and implement a vision for continued community impact with equal access for all. They will continue to bring diverse community partners to the table to build awareness and support for the shelter services and prevention programming to confront domestic violence in all parts of the community.
The Executive Director will manage a team of eleven direct reports in administrative and community-based functions. Staff management responsibility is shared with the Director of Client Services as a key team partner. This person will work to uphold a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and communication, with empathy and honor for staff and clients, alike. The Executive Director will be deeply committed to supporting the staff, trusting them to do their best work, and championing a workplace where new ideas are encouraged and tried, and hope prevails.
