House Manager

Position Title:  House Manager

Full-time; competitive salary and benefits

The House Manager works to ensure Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs is a warm and welcoming environment to all whom enter the facility through coordination of supplies, managing facility maintenance and security and maintaining positive relationships with donors and survivors.

Primary responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Coordination of in-kind donations and supplies
  • Manage and organize storage areas
  • Coordinate holiday Adopt-A-Shelter program
  • Work with Maintenance Technician and volunteers and residents to maintain building up-keep and cleanliness
  • Maintain records of purchases and warranties
  • Maintain maintenance log and manual
  • Participate in speaking engagements
  • Prepare building for tours
  • Participate in the rotation of Crisis Line coverage
  • Maintain good working relationships with agencies in the community

Qualifications

COMPETENCIES:

Good organizational and interpersonal skills

Basic knowledge domestic abuse issues

Cultural competence

Basic knowledge of computers

Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Ability to work with volunteers and communicate effectively with others.

High school graduate with one to two years social service program experience or equivalent in knowledge / experience.

Agency responsibilities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

*Full time (40 hours per week), some evening and week-end hours
