Plan and implement education, training and prevention programming throughout Dane County. Increase awareness and knowledge of domestic violence issues as well as address the primary prevention of dating, domestic and sexual violence. Present awareness-raising presentations to community partners and other stakeholders while prevention programming consists of working with schools and other community partners to co-facilitate groups for youth aimed at addressing the root causes of domestic violence.

Program Capacity and Support Coordinator

The Program Capacity and Support (PCS) Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position working closely with local agencies, statewide partners and national partners to support the capacity and sustainability of domestic violence services and programs to serve victims through training and technical assistance (TA) and in-person program visits. The PCS Coordinator will work to strengthen the work of the Wisconsin domestic abuse program community, and will focus on culturally-specific programs. To do so, the PCS Coordinator will promote the development of an inclusionary leadership, organizational development, and innovation in advocacy practices. The PCS Coordinator works to ensure that all population communities are full partners in the movement to end domestic violence in Wisconsin.

DV Housing First Program Coordinator

The DV Housing First Program Coordinator provides mobile, culturally competent, and trauma informed supportive case management services to domestic abuse victims and their children in the community. Assists victims off-site in the community, residing in the shelter or temporarily placed in a hotel in addressing barriers to permanent housing program in order to rapidly place them in their own home. Develops relationships with community partners and landlords in order to engage them in providing resources for Family Center clients. Assesses the client’s needs for flexible financial assistance, completes appropriate paperwork and makes recommendations for funding.
