During this unprecedented time, the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA) and End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin (End Abuse) want survivors to know that sexual assault and domestic abuse service providers in the state remain open.

On the April 7th ballot, there is a special referendum question on whether or not you would like to see a change in the state constitution relating to victims’ rights, otherwise known as Marsy's Law. As we endeavor to center the last survivor in our work, End Abuse has decided to oppose Marsy’s Law.

This is an unprecedented time, and we know that home is not the safest place for everyone. We have compiled resources to help domestic violence advocates, victims, and survivors stay safe, informed, & connected during this time. This space will continually update, so check back for new resources.

End Abuse is postponing or cancelling all in-person events through May 2020 as a precaution while the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic evolves.

This edition of the Coalition Chronicles is all about voting, what nonprofits can do to GOTV, and how domestic abuse programs can ensure that victims are able to vote safely. Get out there and vote!

Patti Seger, long-time Executive Director of the Wisconsin Coalition, will retire from her position March 7, 2020. Patti’s strategic leadership will be missed, and we are grateful for all she has accomplished during her tenure. 

End Abuse's Children & Youth Manual is a tool to increase the knowledge and skills for youth advocacy while building a relationship between advocates and their supervisor. During Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, we're excited to release the second, updated version of the Manual, which includes resources to connect with End Abuse and continue education on various topics.

February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (#TDVAM). Dare2Know is taking to social media to increase awareness of teen dating violence and encourage positive action among Wisconsin youth, their parents, their communities, and across the entire state.

The need for safe, immediate, and affordable housing is a significant challenge for survivors of domestic violence and the service providers who work with them. This challenge can be seen across the nation, but surveys have shown it is especially acute in the state of Wisconsin. This newly released report asks critical questions, and provides insight into next steps for survivors in our state.
